What it is

BPC-157 is a lab-made peptide of 15 amino acids. It's based on a sequence from a protective protein found in stomach juice, which is where its name, Body Protection Compound, comes from.

What the research shows

Most research on BPC-157 comes from animal and lab studies, where it has been studied for healing of tendons, ligaments, muscle, and the gut lining. Human research is very limited, so how well it works in people and its long-term safety aren't well established.

How it's used

BPC-157 is commonly supplied as a 5.0 mL vial at 3.0 mg/mL. A typical dose is 600 mcg (20 units), injected under the skin, once daily, Monday to Friday. Your prescriber sets your exact dose and schedule.
